following opening:

Computer Support Spec II: Assist district staff in technology use for instruction and admin application. Work with Info/Tech Mgr to provide tech support and maintenance $18.38 - $20.72/hr, DOE. 1. Provide server, end-user workstation and network support.
2. Install, maintain and upgrade network servers.
3. Install, maintain and upgrade desktop computers.
4. Install software.
5. Prioritize tasks and take initiative to independently complete and/or foresee the need to complete a project or task.
6. Assist and train other Technology and Information Services staff.
7. Assist other Technology and Information Services staff with the development of technology documentation.
8. Research and review computer hardware and software capabilities, uses, etc., and make recommendations regarding
updates and upgrades.
9. Provide all district staff with technical support in individual settings.
10. Participate in technology support, planning and tracking.
11. Interface with technology coordinator to facilitate routine support and technology maintenance.

12. Provide follow-up support to district staff.

13. Configure, install and manage network switches and access points and other network devices.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is 1.0 FTE for 235 days per school year.


1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to communicate well with school personnel.

3. Ability to provide outstanding and professional customer service in person, over the phone, email, chat, etc. District-

4. Ability and willingness to maintain a positive work environment, and establish positive work relationships with
district staff.
5. Knowledge and experience with current Windows and Linux Server operating systems.
6. Knowledge and experience with current Windows and Linux Client operating systems.
7. Knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies. DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Active Directory, etc.
8. Three year of demonstrated, specialized experience or training in technology related field beyond high school.
9. Knowledge and experience configuring network switches, access points, network firewalls, content filters,
etc. Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper gear.
10. Ability to solve problems, work independently, and comply with deadlines.
11. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions with limited supervision.
12. Outstanding problem solving skills.
13. Current Oregon driver’s license.
14. Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate
over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, coworkers, etc.; ability to respond to workplace
disturbances, visual cues, requests, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to
carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
